House Cleaning in Bridgenorth, Ontario

Bridgenorth sits on the east shore of Chemong Lake at the end of the causeway, ten minutes up Chemong Road from the north end of the city. It has grown from a cottage village into a year-round community, and the housing shows both halves: bungalows and older cottages that have been winterised and lived in full-time along the water, and newer subdivisions inland along Ward Street.

A converted cottage is a different clean from a new build. Low ceilings, wood panelling, a wood stove and a lake-facing wall of windows collect dust, ash and lake haze in ways a drywall-and-carpet subdivision home does not. The standard scope covers both; the difference is what the crew spends its time on.

Because so many homes here are on the water, seasonal turnover is a real part of the calendar — opening a place in May after six months closed is a deep clean, and a property being rented out over summer needs a one-time clean booked to a date between guests. Booking early for May and September is worth doing.
